Community Participation Programs

Reena offers multiple community participation program options according to individual abilities, interests and strengths. These programs are offered to over 160 individuals with developmental disabilities.

Reena also provides full-day and half-day programming for participants wanting to access their communities through volunteering and employment opportunities.  The programs focus on inclusion activities that help transition adults from school, home and other programs.

What makes Reena unique is its welcoming environment to people from all walks of life. As a Jewish agency, Reena understands the value of respect and acceptance, thereby embracing the diversity of our community. With sensitivity towards all, Reena encourages the expression of everyone’s culture and religious roots, regardless of background or denomination.

Programs Include:

At our Henry and Toby Battle Centre, we offer a wide range of community participation options, ranging from community excursions, the Meal on Wheels program through the Bernard Betel Centre, and many other volunteer opportunities.

We also provide a variety of on-site group programs: gardening and horticulture, music, sensory, communications and physical fitness.

The Centre will also tailor the program to the specific needs of the individual, ensuring each participant has a meaningful day with us.

We also share space with The Schwartz Reisman Centre on the Lebovic campus where we offer a day program for more mature adults who like to keep busy with meaningful day activities.
