🌱 Sophie’s Journey at the Reena Community Farm: Planting Seeds of Confidence

Exciting news! Reena is shining brightly on Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Good News Grows. The spotlight is on Sophie, a dedicated member of Reena’s Summer Employment Transition (SET) program, who has been an invaluable member of the Reena Community Farm over the past three years.

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada focuses on the individual’s impact, not just organizational success, and Sophie’s story beautifully embodies growth, resilience, and empowerment.

This heartwarming story unfolds as a follow-up to the $250,000 Local Food Infrastructure Fund Grant awarded in May 2021, which laid the foundation for the Reena Community Farm program.

Reena Foundation secured additional grants from the Azrieli and Robbins Foundation in March 2022. These grants made possible incredible projects like the Hydroponic Container, the Crestwood Megafarm, and the realization of the Reena Employment Zone at the Battle Centre.
