Responding to a growing need for Flu vaccination in the community and for people with diverse disabilities, Reena conducted in early November, in partnership with the Western York Region OHT 5 Flu clinics to help meet the high demand in our community.

Sandy Stemp, Reena’s COO and Ann Szabo, Reena’s Resource Manager
This was the first time Reena held Flu clinics for the community, and we were extremely proud to be offering this service to the community.
It took 30 staff at Reena, all in different roles, to implement the five flu clinics with our amazing partners in the Western York Region Ontario Health team!

The vaccinators were from the wonderful staff from Vaughan Community Health Centre, Dr. Lori Di Santo, Dr. Jack Moussadji and four Ryerson nursing students at Reena.
Thanks so much to CHATS for providing on-site admin support.
All working together we vaccinated over 500 people – from shelters, group homes, many families, elderly and children.

We are proud of our team! We are looking forward to hearing how we can be part of the exciting new COVID vaccines!
